Research: penetration of BBA services in the B2C segment in the Moscow market exceeded 89%

According to TMT Consulting estimates, the penetration of BBA services in the Moscow market in the third quarter in the B2C segment exceeded 89%. The number of subscribers approached 4.4 million. Analysts estimated the value of the market of Moscow at more than 4.3 billion rubles, ComNews writes.

The number of BBA subscribers in the B2C segment in Russia during this period approached 34.2 million, the service penetration in the country exceeded 61%. The market value amounted to 36.4 billion rubles. The number of BBA subscribers increased by 0.7% - by more than 230 thousand subscribers compared to the second quarter of this year. Revenue growth was 1%.

The top 5 Internet providers accounted for 71% of the subscriber base at the end of the quarter.

MTS became the leader in terms of BBA subscribers growth. The number of MTS subscribers increased by 99 thousand, or by 2.7%. The company’s converged offerings remain the main driver of growth. Beeline took the second place in terms of subscriber base growth - the number of the operator’s customers increased by 85 thousand, or by 3.2%. Analysts attribute the growth to the expansion of the company’s network capacity and coverage in megacities during the implementation of a large-scale program aimed at modernizing the operator’s broadband network.
